Meet some of our abuelitos (grandparents)

All the grandparents in the Los Martincitos program in Villa El Salvador, Peru, are struggling to keep their heads above water. Many do not have enough money to buy food; many more live in terrible conditions, often in structures with leaky (or nonexistent) roofs over their heads. Several have been abandoned or battered by their families; others have lost their family through terrorism and/or imprisonment; many are just simply alone.
